The Holidays

It soon will be here! The holidays. For some it is the best time of the year, but for those grieving personal losses it can be the worst time of the year. Holidays can bring back memories that can be painful. You may feel lonely, or you may have concern for your children and wonder if you will be able to get through all the celebrations. It is important that you recognize that your life is different now. You will at times feel ambushed by emotions that can cause anxiety. So, it is best if you make plans as to how you and your family will celebrate, to decide what you and your family want to do. It may be something, or it may be nothing. You may be a family who decides to go on vacation instead, not wanting to deal with the holidays at all. There is no wrong decision. Ask God to give you wisdom and direction.

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
