Mightier than the thunder of the great waters

Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea-the Lord on high is mighty. (Psalm 93:4)

This verse tells us that the Lord possesses great and impressive power and strength. Knowing that could bring us comfort during the holiday season. It is not easy to prepare for gift buying, holiday parties, reading special cards that bring emotion, time spent with family and friends, decorating trees or decorating the office or home. All this can seem impossible when you are experiencing personal losses, especially when you lose a loved one. I find that it is impossible unless there is someone that is greater in power and in strength than me. We have proof of that in this Psalm. We may not be able to face the coming days in our own strength but we can depend on the Lord to be mighty on our behalf.
