Dear Lord: Hear my prayer today. Set a guard over my mouth, keep watch over the door of my lips. Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil but to what is good.  You are my strong deliverer. When I was woven together in my mother’s womb you saw my unformed body and you know me today. I want so much to do things “your way” but in my illness I find that I am changing. I am moody and self- centered and I am in need of forgiveness and a fresh beginning. Thank you Lord because I know that is possible with you. Amen

Hello Everyone!
Just want to let you that I (Amy Furr) am back at the Care Cafe at SCSM on Thursdays--and my little 4 month old son, Avery, has begun his service in ministry by joining me! We're so very excited to be back at SCSM after a 3 1/2 month maternity leave!
The Care Cafe is open to anyone who would like to stop by for food and fellowship. We love to laugh, sit, and chat. Come share your stories about your families and what's going on with you! If you have something on your heart, I'm here to listen or guide you to Chaplain Liz or Sue. I'm here to give tours of our wonderful center and make sure that you have the information you need concerning the services we offer at SCSM. I'm here to share in your laughter, listen to your stories, and also to share in any sorrows you may have. As I recently heard, "Happiness shared is twice the happiness.  Sorrow shared is half the sorrow." I am here for YOU!
The Care Cafe runs from 10-12 every Thursday morning, followed by the Community Prayer Hour, currently led by Pastor Bobby Reynolds (come by to hear him lead praise and worship--truly a worthwhile experience!).
I do hope you'll join us this Thursday and I hope you will bring a friend or two with you! Even if you are unable to make it, please spread the word to others who may want to come. Avery and I are looking forward to seeing you!
Wishing you blessings on this day and always,
